Curry Club: terms and conditions

Last updated: 23 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy a Curry Club membership or a set of six curries from Dosa Chaska. Please read them before you buy. If anything is unclear, just ask us.

1. About us

Curry Club is run by Dosa Chaska Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16281713. Registered office: 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. Our café: 46B Main Street, Cockermouth, Cumbria CA13 9LU. Contact: hello@dosachaska.com, or call or WhatsApp us on the number on our Contact page.

2. What you get

2.1 A Curry Club membership costs £210 and gives you 30 frozen curries. Each curry is a 650 g box, plenty for two to four people.

2.2 That works out at £7 a curry, compared with £10 a curry when you buy a set of six.

2.3 Our curries follow the seasons, so the range changes from time to time. You choose from what’s available when you book, or we’ll pick a mix for you. If you have a dietary need, tell us when you book.

2.4 Your membership is for the person named on it. People in your household may collect for you if they give your name or show your app card.

3. Paying

3.1 You pay the full £210 up front, in the Dosa Chaska app, in our online shop or in the café.

3.2 The price you paid is fixed for that membership. If our prices go up, your remaining curries aren’t affected.

4. Collecting your curries

4.1 Collect at our Cockermouth café. Book a 15-minute collection time between 11:00 and 15:30, Wednesday to Sunday, at least 24 hours ahead in the Dosa Chaska app, or ask us.

4.2 You can have one collection booked at a time, of up to 10 curries. Until you’ve collected it, you can change it in the app (the time, how many curries and which ones) or cancel it, up to 2 hours before. Once you’ve collected, book the next one.

4.3 Show your app card when you collect. Your balance, bookings and history are always in the app, and update as soon as the team records your collection.

4.4 If a curry you chose has sold out, we’ll offer you another. We restock regularly.

4.5 If you can, please bring your empty curry boxes back when you collect: we wash and reuse them.

5. How long you have

5.1 Please collect your 30 curries within 6 months of the date you buy. Your use-by date is shown in the app, and you can book collections up to that date.

5.2 If you need longer, you can ask for one 30-day extension per membership in the app, from 14 days before your use-by date (or after it has passed), so you can collect the rest. We do this so that no curry goes to waste.

5.3 We’ll send you a reminder about 14 days before your use-by date if you still have curries left.

5.4 If you renew Curry Club, the new curries are added to your balance and your whole balance gets a new use-by date, 6 months from the renewal.

5.5 If you still have curries left after the 30-day extension, please message us: a manager will decide with you what happens to them.

6. Changing your mind

6.1 If you bought in the app, online, by phone or by email, the law gives you 14 days to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). The 14 days start the day after your first collection. To cancel, email or tell us within that time.

6.2 If you bought in the café, the law doesn’t give an automatic right to cancel, but we offer the same 14 days as a goodwill gesture.

6.3 If you cancel, we refund what you paid less £7 for each curry you’ve already collected, within 14 days, to the payment method you used.

7. If something is wrong

7.1 Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. If a curry is faulty or not as described, tell us and we’ll replace or refund it.

7.2 If we stop making Curry Club curries, or close permanently, we’ll refund the curries you have left at £7 each.

8. Storage, allergens and safety

8.1 Our curries are sold frozen. Keep them frozen at -18°C or colder and use them by the date on the label. Defrost and reheat as the label says, until piping hot.

8.2 Every box is labelled with its ingredients, with allergens in bold. Allergen information is also on our website and in the café. Our kitchen handles nuts, sesame, mustard, milk, cereals containing gluten and other allergens, so we can’t guarantee any item is free from traces. If you have an allergy or intolerance, check the label each time and ask us if you’re unsure.

8.3 Once you’ve collected your curries, keeping them frozen and reheating them safely is your responsibility.

9. Member perks and other rules

9.1 While you have curries left you get the Curry Club perks shown in the app. At the moment these are a free hot drink each time you collect, 10% off café food and drinks, 48-hour early access to Sunday Social and workshop tickets, and our batter for £12. We may change perks with 30 days’ notice in the app; this never reduces the curries you’ve paid for.

9.2 Curry Club curries can’t be exchanged for cash, other menu items or vouchers, except as set out in these terms.

9.3 A membership can’t be resold. You may give it to someone as a gift if you tell us their name.

9.4 Curry Club purchases and collections don’t earn stamps. Everything else you buy still does, and you still earn stars (see our rewards terms).

9.5 We may refuse or cancel a membership if we suspect fraud or misuse. If we do, we’ll refund any curries not yet collected at £7 each.

10. Sets of six curries

10.1 A set of six curries (£60) is a one-off purchase. You choose your curries (or let us pick) and a collection time when you buy, and collect all six together.

10.2 Each set adds a stamp to your Curry card: 6 stamps give you 2 free curries on your next purchase. Buying two sets within 60 days opens our Curry Club upgrade offer. See our rewards terms.

10.3 Sections 6 to 9 apply to sets of six too, with £10 in place of £7 wherever a per-curry amount is mentioned.

11. Your information

We use your name and contact details to run your membership: recording collections, showing your balance and sending you messages about your curries. We’ll only send you marketing if you’ve agreed to it. See our privacy notice.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes won’t reduce the number of curries you’ve already paid for or shorten your use-by date.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
