Visiting the café
Where are you and when are you open?
46B Main Street, Cockermouth CA13 9LU. Wednesday to Sunday, 10:30 to 16:00. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
Do I need to book?
No need to book: just pop in.
Is there parking nearby?
There is disc parking on Main Street for short stops, and pay-and-display car parks a short walk away, including Memorial Gardens and Bitterbeck.
Food, allergies and diets
Is your food gluten-free?
Our pancakes are made without gluten-containing ingredients, and we use certified gluten-free hing. Our kitchen also handles cereals containing gluten, so we can’t guarantee there are no traces.
Can I eat vegan?
Yes. Most pancakes can be made vegan: we leave out the cheese or paneer. Not the masala omelette or tandoori paneer.
Which allergens do you handle?
Our kitchen handles nuts, sesame, mustard, milk, egg, cereals containing gluten and other allergens. Every frozen curry and batter bottle lists allergens in bold. Please tell the team about any allergy before you order.

How do I join?
Join free at rewards.dosachaska.com with your email. Your first hot drink and mini meal are on us.
How do stamps work?
One stamp for each item on the matching card. Fill a card and the next one is free. Rewards last 60 days.
Curry Club and frozen curries
What is Curry Club?
30 home-made curries for £210, £7 a curry, collected from our Cockermouth café when it suits you, with member perks.
How do I collect?
Book a 15-minute collection time in the app between 11:00 and 15:30, Wednesday to Sunday, at least 24 hours ahead.
Gift vouchers
How do gift vouchers work?
Choose an amount, add their name and email, a message and a send date. They get it by email, ready to print, and add it to their free app to spend in the café or online.
How long do they last?
12 months from the day you buy.

When are the next dates?
New dates go to the app first. Join free and we’ll message you as soon as tickets go on sale.
How much is it?
£49 a person, including a shared meal and recipes to take home.
